Mass of Remembrance 2025
Dear Ursuline Alumni,
The Old Augustinians wish to remind you the annual Mass of Remembrance takes place on Saturday 8th November 2025 at 12 noon at St. Augustine's Abbey Church, Ramsgate, Kent, CT11 9PA and we very much hope you can attend this annual event to remember those from our school who gave their lives in the two World Wars.
We will also remember those Old Augustinians and staff who have died in the last 12 months. We can add Ursuline Alumni too if you can let us know.
We will be joined by local parishioners and civic leaders have been invited too.
Sadly, for reasons unknown, the Ursuline College have pulled out of the Service and we are now asking others to take their place. We were hoping to hear about their trip to Ypres War Graves which we and the Ursuline Alumni raised over £2,000 for. They have been involved in this since 2014.
After the final Blessing, there will be the Blessing of Graves of the monks and former teachers, Old Augustinians and others as requested. Finally, the Laying of the Wreath at the OA War Memorial with prayers and a blessing.
At the end of the service all are welcome to light refreshments in the Cartoon Room in the grounds of the Grange. Presentation of Gifts will be presented to the new Parish Priest of Ramsgate and Minster, Fr. Jonathan Routh in aid of the St. Augustine's Visitor Centre.
